First Bush Now O.J. Who's Next?
Is is possible for USC's stars to stay out of trouble? On ESPN's outside the lines it is revealed that O.J. Mayo recieved gifts and money from a booster. I wonder if the NCAA will take action, with these two high-profile violations at USC you'd think they would at least lose scholarships. Anyway this should help the ducks out.

ummm....Death Penalty?
Does anyone who supports this nonsense have an ounce of perspective on the death penalty? Please, go look at what SMU was doing, and for how long. The school was actively involved in paying players, not just turning a blind eye, and was doing this WHILE ON PROBATION. USC broke a lot of rules, but the two situations are not comparable in any way.
USC should have serious repercussions on what will most likely become a lack of institutional control issue. Probation and loss of scholarships will not be unreasonable. But the death penalty? Give me a break.

Maybe...
Plus, this was also 2 different programs, so I don't know how that comes into play. And which program do you give the death penalty to?
I don't think the death penalty will ever be used again, after how it utterly destroyed SMU football. Probation, scholarship loss, etc. can be very harmful as well (look at Alabama).
I just really don't see USC as anywhere in the same ballpark as death penalty. Even if it turns out that their entire basketball team was getting 7 figures, the NCAA would do anything they could to not give the death penalty. If USC ignores any NCAA attempts at reform, then it could happen, but I don't see that happening. The death penalty is a last resort, and USC hasn't had anything happen to them yet.

Yes
With Mayo, Tim Floyd had a fairly close relationship with the guy who was giving stuff to Mayo. It's incredibly sketchy.
